Dr Kym MerrittHi, I'm a GP Partner. I am also a Trainer, a GP Lecturer for Newcastle University, and a Clinical lead for the Tees Valley GP Fellowship programme.
I love the flexibility of Primary Care in terms of being able to have a Portfolio career. In my free time, I enjoy walking, travelling and art/design. The best things about working in Primary Care are... The Variety, The Team, The Opportunities. |
Dr Lucy FalcusHi, I'm a GP Partner at Tennant Street Medical Practice and Medical Director for Hartlepool and Stockton Health.
I work in Primary Care as I love the direct and continuing relationship we have with our patients, the ability to build up trust and continuity of clinical care. In my free time I am usually running around after two small children and two dogs, but sometimes manage to ride my horse too, and play the piano in church. The best thing about working in Primary Care is... The continuity of care for patients and holistic team approach to their care within practices. |
Dr Sathish SelvanHi, I'm a GP partner, GP Trainer, Supervisory trainer, Appraiser and LMC member. I also contribute to the SOX training and ARCP panels.
Primary care gives variety to my day-to-day work and gives an opportunity to make significant impact on the health and wellbeing of patients. In my free time, I enjoy walking and reading non-fiction books. The best things about working in Primary Care are... The flexibility and opportunity to do varying roles such as management, teaching and training. |
Kim HardyHi, I’m the RISE Administrator, which means I’m first point of call for all things paperwork!
Although my background is in the world of finance, I made the move to healthcare because our local NHS organisations have such an amazing team atmosphere. The people in the Tees Valley are what makes it such a fantastic place to live and work. In my free time, you can find me on a football pitch, cheering on my son and his teammates at Marton FC, or enjoying myself at Mecca Bingo – a classic Teesside pastime! The best thing about working in Primary Care is... The supportiveness of the team. |
